Lightbulb Replace left player with Hench

Your in a pug, nicely into the mission, a player leaves, you proborally experienced that.

It has happend alot to me, so i thought it could be a nice little idea if a player leaves, the players spot will be replaced with a random henchman, so the loss isten't that big.

What do you think?

If you didn't bring a hench in the first place, theres probably a reason. And we all know the henchmen dont exactly act in the best interest of the team (avoiding aggro etc etc.)

And in the case a vital part of the team leaves, like the monk, getting a 1/8 chance of replacing them isn't very comforting.

This would be interesting to implement.

Yes, yes, yes and Yes. As well, for Pickup PvP this would work wonders especially if H/H were place-holders/bots for Jaded "empty" Quarry. Queues for PvP would not exist; players could enter and leave battles without dramatically effecting the outcome of their team. A Bot/Hero would just leave when a new player arrived. . . . Quake did this three generations ago. . . . Half you guys weren't even out of diapers then. It works, the AI is capable, it just needs to be done.

. .. Yes.

I don't like the idea of it being random. I'd rather just have it so a hench of the appropriate profession replaces the leaver. Other than that I like the idea, except I don't think this should exist in PvP except maybe GvG and HA.

If you were guaranteed to get the profession and maybe specialisation (i.e, prot monk instead of just heal) of the leaver, then maybe it would be good. It wouldn't see much use from me though because in PvE there really isn't a need to get other people.

Just dont pug.

Hero / hench is always better. If your playing somewhere that cant be H/H'ed like elite areas, then you need an organised guild group, not a pug.

This is a duplicate thread.

How do I know? I posted this idea a few weeks ago. Search it, you'll see it. It's "A Simple way to reduce the impact of PvE leavers".

I like this idea. Although like other have said I would want it to be replaced with a henchman of the same proffesion.

I've posted a thread like this before. Instead of random, just use one henchmen of the quitter's profession.

Perhaps the party must collect the henchman from the next rez point, or something.

Definitely /signed.

If your bonder in the dungeon quits on you, getting a henchmen bonder isn't going to help. Its for all the other times.

I would like this, but only if it was able to be toggled on and off.

What would be even better is if they gave you an option to add a hero of your choice.

Why not take over the player that has left "toon" and run it with the AI as a henchmen. If you pugged with and idiot build then the AI tries to make do with that. LOL
